Mine just got back about a month ago from Oki. He was gone closer to 8 but I went over in April to see him so it made it not seem so long.

I wish you all of the best. I was a military brat and am all to familiar with family going away for long periods of time. Join the support groups in your area. It helps to have people near you w/ the same experiences. Write as much as possible (not just email). My mom said the letters (rereading them 100 times) were the saving grace during the times away.
