Global warming has become a major threat and causes quite an issue these past few years. Everyone should be aware that if there is no action to alleviate the issue of global warming, or “climate change” a term used by the media, then we shall have to suffer the expected consequences of its effects in the future.

I agree with you there. If there is no action to this problem, then in the future we just have to expect and accept the idea that the living conditions will get worse as it is now. Global warming is something that should be considered, pondered as well as a necessity in giving solutions to it.

The problem is though that our consumer societies are not built to be compatible with eco-friendly practices and products...because profit still runs most businesses. I mean, we had biodegradable cornstarch eating utensils made a long time ago, but why do big businesses still use plastic? I think there are politics and money involved, and we need to change that if we are to work together to decrease climate change.

Global warming is something that needs to be tackled with. It is an issue that shouldn’t be allowed to put aside. We have to understand the extent of what it is and what how it is going to affect our lives in the future.

Global warming is something that everyone should be aware of. It does not only concern what our lives might be but it also concerns the future of our children and our children’s children. I believe that global warming will have an impact in our lives in the future. Why not start changing now?

Global warming is something that everyone should be aware of. It is true that science and technology made advancement over the years. But in the process of its development, the one that suffered is our planet. We degrade forests; we pollute waters, air and the environment. The resulting factor is global warming or what we commonly refer to as climate change.

Global warming is something that one should be able aware. We just don’t consider the possibilities of what might happen when it will become much worse in the future. Somehow, I do believe that in the future, our lives will drastically change because of global warming. I just hope that I am not right.

I think the repeated points made directly above me aren't taken by a considerable number of Americans, as many people are still in denial that we are the cause behind the environmental issue. I think we need to find ways to reach those people, even more so that talking about it with people who agree with us.

Right, I agree with this, but using the word denial will make people deny that they are in denial even more...because they will hear that word and all it's negative connotations and interpret what you are saying as a personal attack on character, rather than on the issue. It's good to talk to those who don't believe in global warming, with respect and tact.

That's a valid point. I mean, just take a look around at politics and you see that debates and name calling on different sides doesn't help bridge the gap between parties. It's important though to realize that some people just don't want to point the finger at themselves. Maybe instead of blame we could reframe it by making it positive. Saying something like, well, look we have this planet to take care, and it's to our advantage to keep it healthy.
