Hi everyone!
Wondered if anyone has any suggestions. I tend to always use a nail hardener / strengthener as otherwise my nails are very weak.
Anyway, for some time now, my nails have had a yellow colour to them - more towards the top than the bottom. Could this be from the hardener I use as I've heard that nail polish can stain nails, could nail hardener do the same?
Or is there anything else it could be?

I THINK the reason your nails are discolored is because the nail polish doesn't give the nail space to breath. It just surrounds and and doesn't give it air. Some nail polishes also make your nail more brittle.

ill give few tips wich i use 2 prevent my nails frm turning yellow
To lighten yellow nails, you can always try soaking your fingers (or toes) by brushing your nails with lemon extract, but be careful to always use a cuticle oil afterwards to re-moisturize.
dont apply nail paint atleast 4 a month or so.yellow nails occur bcoz of too much applying of nail paint.dont push ur nail dirt remover too much into ur nail.even this causes ur nails to turn yellow!!

File your complete nail surfaces biweekly, not just the tips, and do it gently. Buy a nail buffer if you don't already own one, the one I have looks like a domino. After you finish filing, buff the surfaces so that your nails are really smooth. Then wash your nails clean, dry, and apply a top coat of clear nail polish. You can find clear polishes which also have vitamins in it or ones which can protect your nails if they are really weak and break easily. Stains can come from anything but if it continues to get darker, then it could be something internal that's causing it, and if that's the case, go get it checked.
