Hey I'm Linda, a 21 yr old student at Stetson University in FL. My boyfriend is in the Navy, stationed in Virginia... finishing up school. He's being trained to work with the electronics on the c-sparrow weapon system... He leaves for sea in July... I'm not sure what I'm gonna do without him at least in the same country... and I'm worried about where he'll be stationed since he hasn't got his orders yet! I think its wonderful we military family and friends have somewhere to come share our worries/ stories!
God Bless our Military

Hey..read your post and thought, wow...someone in the same situation as me!
I'm a 21 year old college student at Lanier Tech in GA and my boyfriend is in the Navy as well and is currentl stationed in Groton, CT.
He's been out to sea many times and it I won't lie, it sucks.
They dry docked for the entire year of 2006 so we won't have to do this again any time soon. He gets out December of 2007 so we still have a little under 2 years to go...
I know how you feel.

Wow, it is so cool to see other girls going through the same thing. We defiinitly need to support each other! I am twenty years old and my husband is in the Navy. He is out to see right now and is suppose to back in July. I will be praying for your men. Stay strong because it only makes the love stronger. I am a fulltime student as well in San Diego, California and it is good to stay busy! Take Care love Jess

Wow... I cant believe how similar all our stories are! It's really nice to talk to other girls with the same situations! How long has everyone been with their sailors? Jon and I havent been together all that long, but we've known each other forever. I think it's true what they say... we've got the hardest job in the Navy... but I'm so proud when I get to walk into the room with him all decked out in uniform! :D

Well I don't have a man in the Navy but My husband is a Merchant Marine. He works on the navy ships but he leaves all the time like clock work. He does 4 months on and 4 months off. He just left 11 days ago to start his 4 months. I'm 22 and we have a 2 1/2 yr. old son that loves his daddy very much.

Wow, I wish I had found you ladies a few weeks ago! I'm in Kings Bay, GA and my sailor is on a sub. He just got back a few days ago from being at sea for 3 months. Considering we have only been together for 4 months now, this made his first patrol for us really hard. I am very proud of what him and the other guys are doing though and that is what we need to keep in mind. But as you ladies also said, they sure do look fine in those uniforms! It's good to know that we have the support that we need.

Hey all!
My name is Heather and I am 18 years old.. my boyfriend is in the NAVY as well. He went into bootcamp in the end of february. He is now stationed in Pensacola with his "A" School. Today he actually got bumped up to phase two meaning that he can now stay out at night until 12am. YAY!! Well I just wanted to come on here and suggest to all of you ladies somehting VERY helpful to get rid of those lonely feelings while your sailor is away. We both bought web cams. Well, actually, he bought a laptop with one built in, and i bought a webcam and a digital camera. Being able to see him is so wonderful. He also got dsl in his room so we can talk even late at night. It's like he is right here and all of the sadness and lonliness just dissappears. If any of you have a webcam and dont already use it, i STRONGLY suggest it. Its WONDERFUL! There are always computers on portside and the one that my bf has at his base even has headphones and webcams available to use and buy. ask him the next time u get the chance :) well I hope that this was useful to you all and I love reading how all of you are doing because i always find myself being able to relate :) have a great day! :p
