Thats so sad about him having to leave, and not see her untill she is 7 months. That must be so hard on him (and you). At least he was able to be there for her birth... but he must miss her like crazy ((Hugs))

Hello there.

My name is Renee and I would just like to let you know that I have a program for military families who have little or not support while their loved one is deployed. The program is called Deployed Family Support. I originally got this program going because a while back I some how got connected with two pregnant women of military husbands. One had just moved to a new locations and didn't know any one. The other woman also had to move to her mom's home because she was confined to bed rest. It was a very rewarding experience being there for them when they needed support and encouragement so badly. The really nice thing is that they are both still in contact with me. One of them I refer to myself as his surrogarate grandmother because I have been with him and his mom from before his birth. I have so many pic of him and mom sends me web cams which make me feel like I am right there. It really is so nice to see him growing up and the achievements he is making. Sorry for rambling.

The mission statement is explained right at the beginning to the site. The web address is: www.deployedfamilysupport.com. My Husband Got Deployed This Year On December. I Was 7 Months Pregnant And Ethan Is Going On 4 Months Now. My Husband Hasn't Met Him Yet. It's Hard And Although We Email Each Other None Stop It's Not The Same. He Wants To Be Home To Help Raise Ethan And I Want Him Home. I Get Jealous Everytime I See A Couple Or A Father With His Child. You Know When I Had Ethan I Had To Call Red Cross To Imform My Husband. I Remember The Nurse Putting Ethan On My Chest And The First Thing That Came Out Of My Mouth Was Daddy Loves You. My Husband Would Tell Me Before I Had Him Make Sure You Tell Him I Love Him Everyday. So I Do.

Can you invest in a web cam? Someone who I provided support to while their husband was in Iraq was able to keep her husband up-to-date on the baby's progress via web cam which was much better than just sending pictures and talking about it.

If you can get one I would definately do so as it will make the two of you feel so much better and not so disconnected when it comes to your baby.

Hope you find this suggestion helpful.
