i am an 18 year old army wife. My husband is currently deployed and things seem to be different over there. before you hardly head from them but now they all call at least once a week. I just moved from zanesville ohio to fort bragg north carolina. all i can say is remeber to stay faithful and find something to keep you busy... time seems to go faster that way. I am sure he will be okay.:o

*hugs to all*
I am 29 and my hubby is in Iraq (AGAIN!). We have been married for almost four years ( and half that time he has been over in "SandLand" as we call it).
I take things one day at a time and cherish the phone calls, IM's or emails that I get. I try not to think about how long he will be gone for. It doesn't seem to help dwelling on it.
Amy congrats on the baby to be.
*hugs*
I became a parent when I was 17 so my hats off to you for having the strength in raising your baby and being a military wife in these times of mass deployment.
If anyone needs an ear or anything else ( like a laugh.... I have oodles of those lying about waiting for someone to pay them mind) feel free to contact me at pixieblu67@hotmail.com I also have a myspace account which is

Staying strong and confidant are the two most important things to do in a deployment. My husband was just in Germany, and even though it wasn't Iraq it was still tough. Any deployment is tough. Staying busy is really important, and I also know from personal experience that if you don't have any kids yet, a pet can really help.
My husband and I are stationed at Pope AFB (on Ft. Bragg) in North Carolina, and I noticed that one of you has just recently arrived to Ft. Bragg. If any of you want to talk, even if it's about nothing, feel free to contact me on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/pinkcarebear727 , or get ahold of me via this forum. Now that I know it's here, I'll use it from time to time.
Best wishes to all of you! And remember to stay strong for our men.
