My name is Martha, I'm 21 years old and I had my baby when I was 19. She is nearly 2 years old and her name is Alanna. I was due in December and she ended up being my Christmas present. I went into labor on December 24th 2004. And had her on December 25th 2004 at 3:31 am. I still cant beilive she came out then. She is the greatest present I could have had, and at the time I didnt think so I just wanted her out. She was in me almost 10 months and a half. She was in me for the full 42 weeks of pregnancy, and then some. I should have charged rent, and I think I will when she gets a job. Anywho, She's getting into those terrible two stages, and they are getting worse. Ahhhh! Today she cryed so much for no particular reason that she fell asleep in my arms. I was like it should be like this all the time (in my arms). I really do thing that having kids changes peoples lives in good ways and unbelivable ways. For some people it dosnt but I guess they just dont deserve those children.
Anyway It is hard to have children at a young age, I'm lucky enough to have graduated high school and experianced some college. I hope the young moms out there get that chance too. And like one other lady on here said.."Birth control" is you're FRIEND! :meow

I really think that you should have a career before a kid. You're right when you say that kids changes peoples lives. They do that in a big way. When you have a kid you don't have time for you.

In my experience (a 3 years old son) they cry when their teeth grows and this seems like "no particular reason". I happen to be a nurse and I know a child could have pains even a good pediatrician couldn't explain.

Well having kids is one of the wonderful experiences one can have in his lifetime, every parent in this world lives for his or her child and expect a lot from the child but i have tried to ease the pressure off my son and given him enough freedom.

I'm 22 and expecting my first child. What was it like have a child at a young age? Do you regret not being able to do all of the things that you wanted to do?
